Periods Of Rain And Thunder Ahead

Our summer-like heat is on the way out and we’re heading towards a more active weather pattern. Moisture is on the increase and that will help bring back scattered showers and t-storms Friday and continuing into the upcoming weekend.  Some areas could pick up some beneficial rainfall over the next few days.

A south to southeasterly wind flow will transport the moisture into the state. Scattered showers and t-storms are possible Friday afternoon into the early evening hours.  High temps will still manage to reach the 90 degree mark for at least one more day this week.

Over the weekend, a frontal boundary along with increasing moisture will fuel more showers and storms. The front will be a slow mover and even stall over the state.  Rainfall could be generous with 1 to 3 inch rainfall totals possible through Monday morning. Temps will continue to manage mid 80s for highs and lows in the lower 70s.
