Mostly cloudy this weekend; Showers Halloween, rain likely Sunday

Friday started quite sunny, but cloud-cover thickened during the afternoon. Friday evening/night become mainly cloudy, but our area remains dry. The clouds act like a blanket for our area, keeping temperatures milder overnight. Temperatures only fall to around 60° at most through early Saturday morning. Rain returns Halloween weekend, but rain coverage looks scattered at best for most of Saturday.

Otherwise, Saturday looks mostly cloudy and warm with high temperatures in the upper 70s. Rain becomes more widespread late Saturday night and throughout Sunday. Otherwise, Sunday looks mainly cloudy with high temperatures in the 60s to low 70s at most. Our area trends drier Monday and election day, though isolated showers appear possible Tuesday. Otherwise, both days look partly cloudy with highs in the 70s.

Another round of rain looks likely next Wednesday. Some storms could be in the mix as a stronger weather system moves into Alabama from the lower Mississippi River Valley. A cold front could swing through our area Wednesday night, resulting in drier and slightly cooler weather late next week into next weekend.
