Missing Union Springs 5-year-old Now Back Home

A 5-year-old is back in her mother’s arms after being taken Thursday outside of Union Springs Elementary School.
Vanessa Douglas drove through the night to pick up her daughter Aaliyah in South Carolina.
An Amber Alert was issued for the 5-year-old after she was snatched after walking off the bus next the her school.
Police say her father and two relatives from North Carolina were responsible, they were stopped on an interstate in South Carolina.
Aaliyah’s mom is eager to put all this behind them. Aaliyah even wanted to spend the rest of today at school.
Vanessa Douglas, mother of 5-year-old Aaliyah said, “That is our main priority right now, our baby. And we are so proud that she’s home.”
The three suspects are facing charges of interfering with child custody.
