Severe Threat Over; Cooler Temperatures On The Way
A gusty morning thanks to a line of storms has come to an end. The severe weather threat in now over for our area. Expect rain to continue through much of the afternoon. The cold front producing the rain and storms pushes through overnight. That drops our temperatures into the 50s for Friday morning. Expect a mostly cloudy start to the day with lingering showers. The rain comes to and end during the afternoon. Some partial clearing is possible by the evening.
It’s going to be a bit more chilly for Friday night football. Temperatures fall through the 50s with a chilly northwest breeze. Saturday morning temperatures fall to the low to mid 40s. Expect plenty of sun on Saturday, with highs in the upper 60s. Sunday looks warmer with some clouds building in late. Highs reach the low to mid 70s.
Our next shot for rain arrives sometime next week with our next storm systems. There’s a large spread in timing right now, with models indicating rain sometime between Monday to Wednesday. Monday and Tuesday look the wettest. Some thunderstorms may be possible those days as well. Temperatures stay close to our seasonal norms for this time of the year next week. Highs range from the upper 60s to mid 70s.
