Summer heat will be leaving soon
We had an unusually hot Labor Day Monday, with an official high of 99 degrees at Dannelly Field. This broke Montgomery’s record high temperature for September 2nd, which had previously been 98 degrees in 1907.
Tuesday should be our last day this week with 90-degree heat, and some isolated thundershowers are expected during the afternoon. Rain and thundershowers will become likely by Thursday and Friday, holding temperatures in the lower 80’s. A few showers could linger into Saturday before drier air arrives.
