Hurricane expected to hit Florida’s Gulf Coast this week

A strong low pressure system in the Caribbean Sea is expected to become a tropical storm soon, then strengthen into a hurricane in the Gulf Of Mexico by Wednesday.  The most likely path takes this potential hurricane through northern Florida and Georgia later this week.  Heavy rain and windy conditions could affect portions of Central and South Alabama, especially on Thursday.

In the meantime, we’ll continue to have unusually hot weather today and tomorrow, before rain chances increase starting Wednesday.
