Flood Watch continues until early Friday morning
Periods of rain will continue across Central and South Alabama today and tonight, becoming heavy at times. A Flood Watch remains in effect for the Montgomery area until early Friday morning. Thundershowers could also develop over some locations today, but severe weather is not expected.
Areas south and east of the Capital City are likely to experience tropical-storm-force winds (39 miles per hour or stronger) Thursday night as Hurricane Helene moves inland.
