Scattered thundershowers tonight before a major cooldown

We’ll climb over 80 degrees today as dry weather continues, but a strong cold front will move through Central and South Alabama Wednesday night.  Rain chances with this front are about fifty percent for each location, and scattered thundershowers are expected overnight as well.

Winds will blow up to 25 miles per hour on Thursday, bringing in a shot of much cooler air.  It’s likely to be cold enough for frost early Friday morning, and a light freeze can’t be ruled out.  The cold snap will be brief, as temperatures climb far into the 70s again by Saturday afternoon.
