Spring is being delayed for a day or two
Montgomery received two-hundredths-of-an-inch of rain with the passage of a cold front before sunrise Thursday. This is the first official day of the Spring season according to the calendar, but clouds and a stiff breeze will hold temperatures in the 50s today.
Winds will diminish tonight as the sky becomes mostly clear. Frost is expected in many areas early Friday morning, as the thermometer drops into the middle 30s. It won’t be as cold Saturday morning, and we’ll be back in the 70s with sunshine Saturday afternoon.
