Montgomery residents arrested in Millbrook burglary

Two people from Montgomery have been arrested in connection to a burglary and theft in Millbrook.

Millbrook Police Chief P.K. Johnson tells Action 8 News that on Friday, May 23, a Millbrook resident told police that an unknown person(s) had unlawfully entered his property in the 100 block of Cedar Court and stole assorted law equipment from an enclosed trailer.

Detectives were able to locate and recover the property reported stolen within days of the initial compliant before returning it to the victim.

On Friday, July 25, with the assistance of the Montgomery Police Departments, officers took both alleged offenders, 50-year-old Christopher Franklin and 47-year-old Anita Brockman, into custody at their home without incident or injury.

Both were transported to the Millbrook Police Department and charged with two counts of 3rd degree burglary and two counts of 4th degree theft of property.

Franklin and Brockman are in the Elmore County Jail on a $42,000 bond each.
