Taking care of animals are a way of life for volunteers of Precious Paws Sanctuary. Since opening in March, they have rescued hundreds in Pike County and surrounding areas. But to maintain and help others, they need the public’s help.
“We help individuals that can’t afford food for their animals. We also help them with spray and neuter. We work along with the Humane Society,” says Wendy Muccio.
The group needs several items, such as heart guard pills, blankets, large dog collars, and dog beds that can be dropped off at Troy’s Animal Clinic.
“Troy Animal Clinic has been super in letting us bring products here,” says Nell Haigh.
Their efforts don’t stop there. They’re also in need of adoptions.
Nell Haigh currently fosters 10 animals.
“I have loved animals all of my life and it is a way for me participate in helping this county get the population down of unwanted animals,” says Haigh.
Precious Paws’ Christmas supply and food drive ends on December 31st. Monetary donations can also be made that assists the organization’s vet bills.
