Central Alabama Community Foundation holds year-end reception
The Central Alabama Community Foundation has held its year-end reception in downtown Montgomery.
Last night’s event was to recognize the achievements of CACF grant recipients for their local philanthropy in their communities.
The foundation donated to numerous new projects and organizations as it celebrated work toward more access to the arts.
The foundation has been operating for 37 years supporting local non-profits and students across the River Region, Wiregrass, and East Alabama.
“It is all programs that these non-profits are doing in our communities that we are helping fund. So, this is going directly into the services that they are providing to better our communities and give hope back to those in our area,” CACF President Burton Crenshaw told Action 8 News.
CACF and its affiliates awarded a total of $703,133.45 in 2025 to nonprofit organizations across the River Region and beyond.
