From the West Alabama Newsroom–
Black Friday weekend kicks off the holiday shopping season and it gets a lot of hype for how busy it is, but the weekend before Christmas may actually be busier, thanks to all the people who wait until the last-minute to do their Christmas shopping.
There are only six shopping days left until Christmas, so if you haven’t finished up your Christmas shopping this is the last weekend you have to get it done.
Some stores will be open for extended hours leading up to Christmas to try and make the most of the last-minute shopping rush.
“Offering those last minute shoppers discounts and savings, so I encourage everyone to shop Selma first this holiday season,” said Chamber of Commerce Director Sheryl Smedley.
