Montgomery residents provide input on the future of their community
Some Montgomery residents had the chance to provide input on how they’d like to shape the future of their neighborhoods.
District 7 Montgomery City Council member Andrew Szymanski put on the event to give those in the Nixon and Graetz communities a chance to let their voice be heard. The provided suggestions on improvements they’d like to see in the future.
He would like to improve infrastructure, such as sidewalks, crosswalks, trails and more.
“That’s what’s really special about this project is that the neighborhood association and the folks that have been in this neighborhood are the ones kind of driving this process forward and providing the feedback,” Szymanski told Action 8 News. “And also, it’s an opportunity for them to be with each other and to see each other and come to a place like the library and be reminded of what a great place this is for the community.”
The meeting was held at the Bertha Williams Library. It’s hoped that improvements can start early next year.
