Dallas Co. man facing sex charges involving a minor

A Dallas County man is behind bars tonight facing several sex charges involving a minor child.

Sgt. Beauty Benjamin says 26 year old Ty’Travious Carmichael is charged with first-degree-rape — sexual-abuse-of-a-minor-under-the-age-of-12 — and enticing-a-minor-to-enter-a-room.

Benjamin says the alleged crimes happened within the city limits of Selma.

Carmichael was arrested Friday by Selma Police with assistance from the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office.

Benjamin says Carmichael is currently being held without bond.
