Troy man arrested on child sexual abuse charges

Troy police have arrested a man on multiple charges, including child sexual abuse.

66-year-old Ronnie Christian, of Troy, has been charged with two counts of sexual abuse of a child less than 12 years of age, three counts of 1st degree sexual abuse, five counts of 1st degree sodomy and five counts of rape.

Christian is currently in the Troy City Jail and waiting to be transported to the Pike County Jail, where he will remain in custody pending an Aniah’s Law hearing.

Details of the investigation have not been released at this time.

His bond is set at $50,000 for the child sexual abuse charges, $45,000 for the 1st degree sexual abuse and no bond for the sodomy and rape charges.
