YMCA of Greater Montgomery hands out toys for Christmas
The local nonprofit made sure some kids in our area had a very Merry Christmas.
The YMCA of Greater Montgomery collected toys for 12 days at its multiple locations across the River Region.
Over 100 toys were collected and distributed them to local children in Montgomery through the YMCA’s Brown Bag Bus program.
“We want the community to know is that we are here, but we’re also active in our community,” said Candace Carnegie with the YMCA of Greater Montgomery. “And we definitely want to have that presence, to let our community know that we’re just more than just swimming pools, but we’re really just the heart of the community where we enjoy getting back, we love giving back, and that’s the heart of our mission.”
