Two more victims die in Montgomery apartment fire

Two more victims have died from their injuries in a Montgomery apartment fire.

It happened around 8:09 a.m. Sunday in the 3900 block of Woodley Road.

During a primary search, they located three occupants: an adult male and two juveniles.

All three were taken to a local hospital for treatment.

One of the juveniles, an 8-year-old boy, was pronounced dead upon arrival.

The adult male, identified as 64-year-old Johnny Payne, died from his injuries on Tuesday.

The third victim, a 9-year-old girl, passed away on Christmas Eve.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
