Montgomery police have made an arrest in a recent double shooting.

It happened around 9:00 p.m. Friday in the 4100 block of Rosa L. Parks Avenue.

According to court records, 39-year-old Jamahl Ephraim, of Montgomery, shot a male victim with an AR style weapon.

Records say Ephraim and the victim were arguing about money when Ephraim walked to his vehicle, produced the rifle and began firing at the victim.

The victim sustained a gunshot wound to the right backside and right arm, according to those same records.

The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment of life-threatening gunshot wounds.

Montgomery police say about two minutes later, officers also responded to a local hospital where a woman had arrived with a non-life threatening gunshot wound.

It was later determined the woman was also a victim of that same shooting.

Ephraim is charged with 1st degree assault and certain persons forbidden to carry a pistol.

He is currently in the Montgomery County Detention Facility.
