Officials are working around the clock to get roads reopen for residents in Pike County, after 20 were shut down. But in the meantime, drivers and residents need to be careful.
Roads are barricaded from sink holes or other major damages, causing residents to have to take detours from normal routes.

“A lot of drainage areas damaged basically as you can see now, a lot about the same…A lot of wash-outs basically we’ve got to get that assessed and handled,” Carnell Brown of the City of Troy Environmental Services.
Pike County’s EMA Director says assessments will begin Tuesday with Alabama EMA officials throughout the county.
“Its a lot I will say that so we’re trying to get everything in order, so we can start working on every area we saw,” says Barron.
