Grass fire spreads to three buildings on Congressman Dickinson Drive in Montgomery
Montgomery Fire/Rescue units have battled a three-alarm fire in the 1800 block of Congressman Dickinson Drive.
Firefighters say it started with a grass fire that spread to two vacant buildings early this afternoon. Strong winds spread the fire to a third vacant building, which prompted the fire to become a two-alarm fire, then a three-alarm.
Firefighters successfully contained the fire, preventing further damage to nearby properties. No injuries were reported among civilians or fire department personnel.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Montgomery Fire/Rescue Bureau of Investigations.
