Montgomery Art Guild Members’ Show Opens Sunday in Downtown Montgomery
The Montgomery Art Guild will open its Members’ Show on Sunday, Feb. 8, featuring dozens of original works by local artists.
A free public reception is scheduled from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday at the Ware-Farley-Hood House in Old Alabama Town, located at 450 N. Hull St. in downtown Montgomery.
The exhibition will include 70 pieces of artwork, and many of the artists will have their creations available for purchase. The artwork can also be seen on Saturday and Sunday February 14-15 and 21-22 from 12-4 p.m.
Montgomery Art Guild President Jennifer Talley and Vice President Linda Sue Spencer said the show highlights the talent and creativity of the organization’s members and offers the community an opportunity to meet the artists and explore their work.
Both spoke with Action 8’s Estee Morrison about the variety of pieces that will be on display and the importance of supporting local art.
