Presidential Candidates Make Push in Alabama

We are about a week and a half away from the first voters casting their ballots to begin the process of selecting the next President.
But Alabama and other Southern states in the SEC Primary are not to be forgotten. That’s evident by some front running candidates making their presence right here in the Capital City. Donald Trump’s campaign headquarters is now open in Montgomery. It’s part of a home stretch push before the primaries.
Perry O. Hooper Jr., Chairman of Central AL Trump for President said, “A big play, it’s one of twelve states and of course you have Iowa that’s coming up, New Hampshire, South Carolina and then of course, March 1 which Alabama and 11 states will be voting on. And Alabama in my opinion we are going to do what we can to make it lead the charge.”
Trump’s Alabama campaign team says they expect him to make his way to the Capitol City sometime in February. Birmingham residents had less than a week notice for his visit, so that may be the same for Montgomery.
