Montgomery nonprofit to hold 2-on-2 basketball tournament to promote men’s health
MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WAKA) – June is Men’s Health Month and one Montgomery nonprofit wants help men focus on their physical and mental health.
The Gift of Life “Fathers in Action” has teamed up with the YMCA of Greater Montgomery to host its 2nd Annual Hoops and Health: Men’s Series.
It will take place on Saturday, June 27 at 10:00 a.m. at the Wilson YMCA.
In addition to a 2-on-2 basketball tournament, the event focus on encouraging men to undergo routine screenings, become more physically active and seek support to nurture their mental health.
