1 dead, 2 injured in Crenshaw County crash
CRENSHAW COUNTY, Ala. (WAKA) – A two-vehicle accident in Crenshaw County has claimed the life of an Enterprise man and injured two others.
It happened around 5:20 a.m. Sunday at the intersection of Alabama 189 and Crenshaw County 43, approximately six miles southeast of Brantley.
Troopers say 59-year-old Juan Lopez Martinez was fatally injured when the van he was a passenger in was hit by a driver of an SUV.
Martinez was not using a seat belt at the time of the crash and was pronounced dead on the scene.
Troopers also say the driver of the SUV was injured and the driver of the van were also injured. Both were taken to hospitals for treatment.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
