ACTION 8 UPDATE: Montgomery police arrest suspect in woman’s shooting death

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WAKA) – Montgomery police have made an arrest in a woman’s shooting death.

Police say 68-year-old Yolanda Cobbs of Montgomery is charged with murder in the death of 38-year-old Erika Cobb.

Cobb was found shot just after 6PM last night in the 100 block of East Woodland Drive. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say the victim and suspect are related, despite their slightly different last names. Police say the suspect is the victim’s aunt.

This is the 39th murder of the year in Montgomery.
