Two people injured in two Montgomery shootings

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WAKA) – Montgomery police are investigating two shootings that have injured two people.

Montgomery police Cpl. James Dozier said that just before 2AM today, police were called to a hospital where a shooting victim was being treated. He says a male suffered a life-threatening gunshot wound. The shooting was reported in the area of the 700 block of Charlie Brassell Place, which is off Wares Ferry Road.

At the same time, police also learned of a woman who was also receiving treatment at a hospital. Dozier says she suffered a non-life threatening gunshot would following a shooting in the 5000 block of Vaughn Road. That location is just outside of the bypass near the Twin Oaks Shopping Center.

He says there is no additional information about either shooting.
