Woman shot, killed on Zelda Road in possible domestic incident

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WAKA) – Montgomery police say a woman has been shot and killed and a juvenile has been injured in a possible domestic incident on Zelda Road.

Police say just after 4AM today, they were called to the 2800 block of Zelda Road to investigate a prowler. That location is near Gatsby Lane.

When they arrived, they said they heard gunshots, so SWAT made entry. Two people were safely removed from the residence.

While inside, officers found a woman with gunshot wounds who was unresponsive. She was pronounced dead.

They also say they found a juvenile male, from Snellville, Georgia, who suffered a life-threatening, self-inflicted gunshot wound. He was taken to a hospital.
