Dry, not-as-hot Thursday; Humidity, rain chances rise this weekend

Thursday morning was mainly sunny and milder across central and south Alabama. Morning lows were in the mid to upper 60s all across our area. Temperatures were still in the mid 80s at midday, with heat indices below 90°. Despite an abundance of sunshine and no cooling rain, temperatures peak in the low 90s Thursday with heat indices below 100°. Thursday night looks mainly clear with lows in the mid to upper 60s again.

Humidity rises this weekend, but rain chances return. Friday looks partly to mostly sunny with stray afternoon showers or storms. A few may linger into the evening. Otherwise, high temperatures range from the low to mid 90s. Showers and storms become isolated to widely scattered Saturday and Sunday. Otherwise, each day looks partly cloudy with highs in the low to mid 90s.
