Alabama State Trooper was Shot in Geneva County

An Alabama state trooper is recovering after being shot on the job yesterday. According to State Troopers, it happened in Geneva County on Highway 57 around 5:30 Saturday evening. Troopers say, the injured trooper was trying to stop the suspects’ vehicle on traffic violation when at least one of the men opened fire. In the following chase, the two suspects, Zachary Wood and Dillon Rafsky were shot. Troopers say their injuries were not life-threatening and they are now in the Geneva County jail charged with attempted murder. The injured state trooper received non life-threatening injuries and has been released from the hospital.
