MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WAKA) – The Frank M. Johnson, Jr. Courthouse Complex in Montgomery will be closed for two days for emergency preparedness training.

The complex will be closed on Tuesday, October 27, and Wednesday, October 28.

During the closure, practitioners may continue to file electronically through CM/ECF, which will remain available as normal. The drop box, located outside the courthouse on Church Street, will also remain available for in-person filings for practitioners and pro se parties. Filings placed in the drop box must be stamped using the meter beforehand; unstamped filings will be stamped the next business day the courthouse is open.

In light of these alternative filing options, filing deadlines falling on these dates will not be extended. Any unstamped filing in the drop box may be treated as untimely.

Members of the public with questions about court business during the closure may contact the Clerk’s OƯice at (334) 954-3600 or the ECF Help Desk at (334) 954-3935.
