Something to Bark About: New Dog Park Coming to Montgomery
MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WAKA) — Montgomery’s four-legged friends will soon have a new place to run, play and make some furry friends of their own.
The Midtown Dog Park is planned for 1001 Felder Avenue, and residents can get a first look at the plans during a festive preview Sunday, Nov. 1, from 2 to 4 p.m.
In honor of National Animal Shelter Appreciation Week, the event will feature local dog-friendly businesses and animal shelters, along with adoptable dogs and puppies. Visitors can also shop for dog accessories and treats and grab food for themselves.
Midtown Dog Park President and Chairman Marney Garzon spoke with Action 8’s Estee Morrison about why the new park is a much-needed addition that dog lovers across the Capitol City are eager to see.
Leashed dogs are welcome at the event, and water stations will be available.
