Dallas Co. Sheriff reaching out to voters ahead of mid term election

From the West Alabama Newsroom–

The mid-term election is only days away — and the candidates for Dallas County Sheriff are hard at work on the campaign trail — reaching out to voters.

Scott Swanson — Lee Green, Jr. — and Dewayne Sanders are all on the ballot — and running to become the next sheriff of Dallas County.

All three candidates are out attending forums — visiting churches — going door to door trying to convince voters that they’re the right man for the job.

“I’ve been engaging with a few small groups, I’ve been to a couple of churches. I’ve been trying to get my signs out,” said Swanson.

“I don’t have to be trained for this job, I already know this job. I just need to be in the position to do the job,” said Green.

“Me and my campaign team we’re still out there walking, knocking on doors, putting out signs, going into communities meeting, shaking hands, talking to people,” said Sanders.

Sanders is the democratic nominee in the sheriff’s race — while Green and Swanson are both running as independent candidates.
