Montgomery Headquarters for Bernie Sanders 2016 Holds Open House Today
The Montgomery headquarters of the Bernie Sanders 2016 Presidential Campaign will hold an open house for volunteers and media from 5pm – 7pm on Thursday, February 25, 2016.
“This place has been hopping with action since we opened about a month ago,” said Kelvin Datcher, state director for the campaign. “We’ve been excited by the sheer number of volunteers who have come in to phone bank, pick up signs and stickers or just ask questions about Senator Sanders and his platform.”
With only days remaining before the March 1st primary, the Sanders campaign has continued to work to connect with voters all across the state.
“We could not be more pleased by the reception we are getting from folks,” Datcher said. “Since Bernie spoke to more than 7,000 people in Birmingham last month, people realized that he had a great chance to be win Alabama. It’s now up to our hundreds of volunteers to help turn that energy and enthusiasm into votes. And, we are hard at work getting that done.”
