Hillary Clinton Supporters here in the Capital City say they were happy to be a part of history tonight.

Local democrats gathered to celebrate victory. It’s a win Clinton supports say they saw coming. Many say they were excited to see the first woman presidential candidate winner in the state.

Robert Taylor III, a Montgomery resident said, “That was pretty much expected. She’s had a foothold and toehold in Alabama for her career so we weren’t so surprised but we’d like to win some of the other states a bit north as well.”

Alabama’s democratic party says this enthusiasm is a result of moving Alabama’s primary date up to Super Tuesday.
