Trump Supporters Excited After Win In Alabama
The state headquarters for Donald Trump was decked out head to toe in gear, even cutouts of the man himself.
There was a lot of excitement even before polls closed.
Many think Trump is going to do great things in office.
“Can he do everything he says? No, but I tell you what, he’ll do a heck of a lot more than any of the others would do for sure. He’s proved himself over and over and over with me and many millions of others,” said supporter Tommy Shaw.
Trump has gained support of many young people as well.
That includes state co-chair of Young Americans for Trump Trey Garner.
“When he first announced he was running for president I started paying attention to him and everything he was talking about I had been screaming at my tv for 8 years. He was taking hard stances on tough issues that no one else was willing to do,” said Garner.
There’s still months before the end of the primary race. Garner says he expects Trump to defeat any democratic nominee.
“I think it’ll be a wipeout. I think he’s got so much momentum, he’s bringing out so many people who haven’t voted in years and decades that are enthused that are backing him. Once he becomes the nominee and everyone gets behind him and pushes him, it’s not even going to be close honestly,” said Garner.
