Some Montgomery County neighbors are speaking out after complaining for years about the conditions of a road in their neighborhood, and now they’re calling on county commissioners to help.

Neighbors says when it rains on Jones Road conditions get worse, causing flooding, as well as some unwelcome critters like snakes, frogs, and mosquitoes. Neighbors say they addressed the issue to Montgomery County Commissioners about this road over 15 years ago, commissioners said the road is private property, and neighbors would have to fit the bill to get the road paved. But residents say they don’t have that kind of money, and if someone in the area tries to do it, and something needs to be done.

County Commissioners we spoke with say they’ll send someone out to evaluate the road due to a school bus taking the road for a disabled student. They also say they could assist through bond programs.
