With the death of former Montgomery County sheriff, D.T. Marshall, many across Montgomery County are mourning his death.
One man had a front row seat during Marshall’s terms as Sheriff of the county, and that is current Montgomery County Sheriff, Derrick Cunningham.
Cunningham served as Chief Deputy under Marshall, but they were more than co workers, they were friends. People close to Marshall and Cunningham say they were inseparable. They shared several common bonds. In 2014 Marshall endorsed Cunningham to be the next sheriff, but the move wasn’t political. it was more personal, like their relationship.
For Cunningham, he says Marshall’s impact on the county will live on, even after his death.
The funeral for D.T. Marshall is set for Monday at 3:00 at Frazer United Methodist Church.
