With the threat of severe weather looming, first responders and Emergency Management Agencies are spending the day preparing for anything.
Heavy flooding caused problems across parts of the river region last Christmas. Some places took water between eight to ten feet deep.
Emergency management agencies across central Alabama are increasing staff for 911 calls, as well as constantly monitoring weather patterns.
“Fire and rescue boats are at strategic locations throughout the city, and during events like this we usually make sure those boast are staffed in case there needs to be rescues”, Says Calvin Brown, Director of the Montgomery County Emergency Management Agency.
