Storms Cause Damage, Power Outages in Montgomery

The strong storms that moved through the area left some damage behind in parts of Montgomery.

Several large trees were knocked down on Perry Hill Road, near Goodwyn Jr. High School.

At 9:45 p.m., there are approximately 3,690 Alabama Power customers without service in central Alabama.  Crews are working to restore service.

Outages are concentrated in the following areas:

Wetumpka: approximately 1840 customers

Montgomery – approximately 1020 customers

Tallassee – approximately 590 customers
