IMG_7910Franklin Graham is carrying the torch for his father Rev. Billy Graham these days, touring the country speaking from the Bible to everyone who will listen.

There were many who came to Montgomery to do just that.

Organizers say almost seven thousand people were in the crowd.

And during this pivotal election year, Graham wants every christian to get out and,” Vote, that’s where we as Christians can make a difference. There were 20 to 30 million Christians in the last presidential election who stayed home. We have many problems today because they stayed home. I just say vote.”

This is part of Graham’s Decision America 2016 tour.

He visited Mississippi and Arkansas before coming to Alabama.

Graham says he’s not backing any presidential candidate in particular.

“Well, there’s some characters let’s put it that way. There’s no shortage of interest right now. We need men and women in office, not just at the presidency but every level. Men and women of God. I’m running a campaign for God,” said Graham.

Graham says he met with Governor Robert Bentley privately before addressing the crowd.

When asked his thoughts on the recent scandal, he said who is not guilty should throw the first stone.

“If we have a sin, all of us are guilty. And I think right now the people of Alabama need to make a decision about what needs to be done. That’s not my decision,” said Graham.

His message really struck a chord with the masses, and many say they’re going home ready to get the christian vote out in their community.

“Things have gotten bad. There is hope through Jesus Christ, there is hope in God. American does not need to give up. America needs to stand strong. The Christian people need to stand strong and stand for our beliefs and know that God is on our side,” said Lisa Shirley.
