From the West Alabama Newsroom–
The city of Selma is one of the nominees in an online contest to pick the Best Historic Small Town in the U-S — and you can help Selma win.
Selma is a small town — with a big history. And its one of twenty nominees with a chance to become USA Today’s Best Historic Small Town. Although Selma has a rich history — its the town that gets the most votes — that’ll get the win.
“You just go out to 10best.com, that’s www.10best.com and you’ll see small historic cities and you click on that little icon there,” said Chamber Director Sheryl Smedley. And it’ll bring up all the cities and you just scroll down til you see Selma. And you just click and its just as easy as a click of your mouse.”
Tourism officials are urging people throughout the Blackbelt and the River Region to vote early — and often.
