Update: Person Named in Redland Road Fatal Crash
Motorists should expects delays
A single-vehicle crash overnight has claimed the life of a Camden man.
John Helmers Jr., 24, was killed when the 2004 Ford F-150 he was driving left the road and struck a tree. Helmers, who was not wearing a seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash was discovered today, April 28. The collision occurred on Elmore County Road 8, or Redland Road, near Scholars Drive around four miles east of Wetumpka.
Nothing further is available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.
