Montgomery public schools is honoring educators for their hard work and dedication. It’s all for teacher appreciation day.

Montgomery Public Schools has several events lined up for teachers, including a day of manicures and pedicures.

Some teachers say it’s just in time, with the school year coming to an end in a couple of weeks. For administrators, they hope the day will not only bring out students to say thank you, but also parents.

Officials say one of the biggest issues for the school system is the lack of parental involvement.
