Warhawk netters hang tough @ #2 NAIA rank
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (aumathletics.com)—- The Auburn Montgomery men’s tennis team held down the No. 2 spot in the final NAIA Coaches’ Top 25 Poll, the national office announced Monday.
The Warhawks recorded 331 total points, just 12 points behind No. 1 Georgia Gwinnett. With AUM’s defeat of No. 6 Dalton State (Ga.) in the Southern States Athletic Conference Championship, it earns an automatic berth to the NAIA National Tournament.
The event will be held at the Mobile Tennis Center in Mobile, Ala., from May 17-21, for the 13th-consecutive year. The official national championship seeds and bracket will be announced Tuesday, by 5 p.m. CDT.
