Valiant Cross Academy is finishing up it’s first school year in Montgomery. It’s an all boys school that helps at risk youth. How did the school fair in their first year?
On May sixth 20-15 the Brock Brothers, along with donors, and advocates came together to announce the formation of Valiant Cross Academy. Fast forward to a year later, that dream is now a reality. The academy’s efforts caught the attention of several well known people across the country, including the daughter of Martin Luther King Jr, Dr. Bernice King, Congressman and civil rights pioneer John Lewis, just to name a few. Teachers and administrations say the parents are also seeing a difference in the young scholars.
The academy currently has 30 sixth graders. Anthony Brock also says the school will add a grade level every year. Spots recently opened for the next sixth grade class, but now there’s a big waiting list with parents vying for their children to be apart of the academy.
