Preparations for the Upcoming School Year
Teachers are already back in the classroom in Troy, getting ready for the upcoming school year.
But before the bell rings, there are a few reminders from teachers. They say they would like to see more parent involvement. They want parents to remember that they have an open – door policy and it takes everyone working together for students to be successful.
“We want all parents to come to all organized meetings and get a lot of information regarding to school year. We want our students to be on time every morning and we also want parents to make sure that they’re checking their everyday binders and everyday folders and filling out any type of paper work,” says Latasha Vaughn of Troy Elementary School.
The first day of class for troy city schools is August 10th and August 9th is the first day for Pike County Schools.
