Hundreds Attend Annual Slice of Hope Back to School Bash in Selma
From the West Alabama Newsroom–
Hundreds students turned out for the Edmundite Missions 4th Annual Slice-of-Hope Back-to-School Bash.
Free school supplies and pizza were given out at the event.
Organizers say the event is a chance for kids to squeeze out the last bit of summer fun before they head back to school.
“I think it’s a great cause,” said Rhonda Myles of Selma.
“Helping parents as well as helping the students with getting back to school, making sure they have the right things and all.”
The first day of school for students in the Selma City School district is Monday.
