Brundidge Mayor Seeking City Council Seat

After 40-years of serving the City of Brundidge as mayor, James Ramage is stepping down to to run for the city’s District 4 City Council seat.

Ramage believes it’s simply time for a change and he hopes residents will continue to support him.His opponent in the District 4 race is Byron Gaynor. He says he is proud of the progress brundidge has made with new jobs in the food industry. If elected to serve District 4, he hopes to work closely with the next mayor, helping with future projects for the city.
“Well, I had considered after 40 years, maybe I ought to hang it up.And several of the people that are running for mayor are friends of mine and they all asked if I were going to run, I said no. So, I want to be a man of my word,” says Mayor James Ramage.
The city election for Brundidge is August 23rd.
