Montgomery Co. Superintendent Inspects Buses for Start of School
Superintendent Margaret Allen met at the “Bus Barn” on Troy highway this morning to conduct bus inspections before school starts on Monday.
“We’re running close to 300 buses. About 260 will be on the road come Wednesday morning and there’s just a lot to be done with them to make sure that they’re safe for our students and for our drivers,” Superintendent Allen said. They inspect everything, from everything in the inside, to all six tires on the outside.
Senior Communication Officer for Montgomery Public Schools, Tom Salter mentioned, they are in the process of adding cameras on the outside of each bus just under the “flashing stop sign” to prevent drivers from illegally passing by when buses stop to release students.
